| I loved this movie! A must-see. Denzel was at his best, once again. Great story. Sorry I missed it at the theater. |

moviejunkie: Didn't the actors do a great job! Denzel always impresses me, even though I heard he always used to bad mouth Hollywood for its lack of Oscars to minorities.
I think he's shut-up since the night Haley and him won one. |

Denzel has done a wonderful job capturing the anguish of seaman Fisher. The first minutes of the film give us quick editing and clever shots that let us into Antwone's mind, his fears his hopes.
Slowly through the movie these images start to make sense as they come together into a lifetime of trauma.
When Antwone finally starts to open up he finds himself in the care of Denzel's character. Both will gain rewards from this new counselor/mentor relationship.
This is a serious movie, with a feel good ending. |
